HomeHow it’s made
Four materials,
piece by piece
One small studio. How a sunset is cut and leaded, sealed, poured or set, and what to know before you order one.

The material
Real stained glass,
not a print
A print is flat. The suncatcher is coloured glass, each piece cut to the shape of a cloud or a band of water, wrapped in copper foil and leaded by hand, the sun a disc of gold glass on a straight lead horizon. Hang it in the window and the sunset lights it twice.
The three panels hold the same sky on the wall: cut glass sealed in a clear acrylic float frame on brass standoffs, pigment under one glossy flood of clear resin, or hundreds of glass tiles set by hand.

Shipping
Made and packed in our studio, its corners protected, and tracked end to end. The suncatcher reaches most addresses in three to four weeks, the panels in about five. The estimate for yours is shown before you pay.
Before you buy
Made for one evening, so it is not returnable. Ask us anything before you buy and we will answer properly, usually the same day. The approved design is what we make.
Hanging & care
The suncatcher hangs on its chain from a hook or a suction cup in the window. The panels hang on the fixings in the box. Dust with a soft dry microfibre cloth; avoid abrasives, solvents and heat.

How long does it take?
The suncatcher is cut, leaded and on its way in 18 to 25 days; the acrylic, resin and mosaic panels in 32 to 36. The estimate for yours is shown before you pay and tracked end to end once it leaves.
For Christmas?
Order a suncatcher by 30 November, and an acrylic, resin or mosaic panel by 19 November. The studio shows the current date beside each piece.
Can I return it?
Made for one evening from your approved design, so it is not returnable. Ask us anything before you buy and we will answer properly, usually the same day.
How do I hang the suncatcher?
On its brass chain from a hook or a suction cup in the window, where the evening light reaches it. Dust with a soft dry cloth; keep it out of a window that slams.
How do I care for the panels?
Dust with a soft dry microfibre cloth. No abrasives, solvents or heat. The acrylic float frame and the resin keep the picture sealed; the mosaic tiles want nothing more than the cloth.
