## How it’s made

One small studio. How a sunset is cut and leaded, sealed, poured or set, and what to know before you order one.

A print is flat. The suncatcher is coloured glass, each piece cut to the shape of a cloud or a band of water, wrapped in copper foil and leaded by hand, the sun a disc of gold glass on a straight lead horizon. Hang it in the window and the sunset lights it twice.

The three panels hold the same sky on the wall: cut glass sealed in a clear acrylic float frame on brass standoffs, pigment under one glossy flood of clear resin, or hundreds of glass tiles set by hand.

Shipping: Made and packed in our studio, its corners protected, and tracked end to end. The suncatcher reaches most addresses in three to four weeks, the panels in about five. The estimate for yours is shown before you pay.

Before you buy: Made for one evening, so it is not returnable. Ask us anything before you buy and we will answer properly, usually the same day. The approved design is what we make.

Hanging & care: The suncatcher hangs on its chain from a hook or a suction cup in the window. The panels hang on the fixings in the box. Dust with a soft dry microfibre cloth; avoid abrasives, solvents and heat.

## Questions

What photograph should I send?: Any photograph from the evening: the sunset itself, or the people or the pet who were there. For a portrait, a clear face in good light; for a sunset, the sky and the water in the frame. A phone photograph is plenty.

How do I make one without a photograph?: Choose Describe it (AI) instead of uploading. Describe the sky, the water, the light and who was there, and the studio draws it from your words.

Where do I set the sky?: The design does it: every piece is drawn with the evening light and an apricot-to-violet sky over a calm sea. To steer it, write a note in Your sky and light: a deeper dusk, more gold on the water, the sun lower.

How should I enter the line?: Use the line field for the exact wording you want: a place and a date, or a name, up to 20 characters. Check the spelling. Leave it empty for the picture alone.

When do I choose the size?: After you create your design, the product page shows the available sizes and current prices for your material. Review the options and the delivery estimate, then add it to the bag.

Does creating a preview place an order?: No. Creating a preview is free and does not place an order. Take your time; payment happens only if you choose to check out.
